Medical Scribes Career Path
Candidates with a medical background—preferably BDS/B Pharma/BAMS/BHMS /B.Sc. Nursing/B.Sc. Biotechnology graduates or experienced medical transcriptionists—are enrolled in a salary-paid training program. They receive training through exposure to different providers, learning medical coding and billing to avoid chart downgrading, and developing soft skills to work independently as medical scribes for their assigned providers.
Scribes, in this designation, are expected to understand key words and expressions that are highly contextualized and highly predictable from simple questions and produce notes—primarily by writing words and phrases—to convey the simplest message with some accuracy.
Scribes should understand information from simple, brief speeches on familiar or everyday topics. They must also be able to communicate simple facts and ideas using loosely connected sentences on various topics.
Super medical scribes are expected to be advanced listeners with a strong understanding of language structure. They should be able to grasp basic time-frame references and have good control over common structures and general vocabulary.
Scribes in this role should understand a wide range of topics, both familiar and unfamiliar, with strong language skills. They must grasp precise vocabulary and complex grammar, and clearly explain complex matters, demonstrating excellent control over grammar and syntax.
A lead scribe works as a medical scribe and leads a team of scribes. We develop these scribes into managers, teaching them HR policies, team management, and leave policies. A quality coach identifies service quality gaps, manages performance improvement, compiles grading data, tracks progress, resolves obstacles, and collaborates with implementation, account managers, and operations.
A unit head is a promoted scribe who leads a group of lead scribes and their team members. They work alongside an HR/admin partner to efficiently run the branch, supported by a centralized IT team. All other roles in the company assist the unit head in delivering impeccable services to our clients through their team.
A quality manager, promoted from a deserving scribe, oversees a team of quality coaches and auditors. They ensure thorough audits are conducted and maintain the quality of service delivered to clients.
