FAQs for Trained and Certified but Inexperienced Coders
We hire certified freshers for entry-level roles as Junior Medical Coder (JMC) when openings are available. Please apply through our careers page when JMC roles are listed. Interview selection is based on fundamentals, certification validity, and aptitude.
We operate multi-specialty coding. Based on current business requirement, we will onboard you into a specific specialty (e.g., E/M, Urgent Care, SDS, Ancillary, etc.) and train you for that project scope.
Typically, remote work is extended after the employee demonstrates stable quality, process adherence, and data security readiness. JMC roles are generally office-based during training/onboarding unless business needs allow otherwise.
Please refer to the JD for role-specific compensation details.
We primarily operate in the Indian day shift. However, candidates must be open to shift flexibility (second shift/night shift) based on project requirements.
Weekend work is requirement-based, and incentives may apply as per policy when weekend work is approved.
Training is typically up to 1 month after joining (depending on project complexity). After training, gradual ramp-up is planned with supervision and regular feedback loops.
You will be eligible for:
• PF, ESI (as applicable)
• Group Family Medical Insurance (based on salary band), covering employee + spouse + up to two children
Currently, we do not provide free food or transportation.
The organization does not bear certification renewal expenses until 11 months are completed. After that, the employee may apply as per policy.
Common early-stage challenges and what helps:
• Accuracy: Follow guidelines strictly, validate documentation, and learn from QA feedback
• Productivity: Speed improves with repetition—focus on correct approach first, then time management
• Confidence: Ask clarifying questions early; keep a learning log of edits and recurring errors
• Consistency: Build strong habits around LCD/NCD awareness, payer rules (where applicable), and documentation requirements
Yes. Training includes guided exposure to live or near-live charts under supervision, once foundational concepts and compliance expectations are covered.
Training is a learning phase. Errors are expected and are used as coaching opportunities, provided there is learning progression, adherence to feedback, and seriousness toward improvement.
Movement from JMC to Medical Coder depends on:
• Accuracy stabilization
• Productivity ramp-up
• Process understanding
• Business requirement
There is no fixed timeline; progression is performance-driven.

• Buddy/mentor guidance
• QA feedback explanations
• Refresher training sessions
• Managerial check-ins
No. Productivity expectations are gradually increased during the ramp-up phase to allow learning without compromising accuracy.
Key success skills include:
• Strong guideline interpretation
• Attention to documentation details
• Willingness to accept feedback
• Consistency and discipline
• Time management
Certification is mandatory; however, attitude, learning agility, and interview performance play a significant role in selection.
Yes. Freshers are gradually exposed to QA findings to help understand error patterns and improve coding judgment early.
Internal assessments are learning checkpoints. If improvement is needed, additional coaching or retraining may be provided based on feasibility and business needs.
